Is the Catholic Church a Force for Good?

This weekend, BBC World aired a wonderful debate between Archbishop John Onaiyekan and Ann Widdencombe for the motion, and Christopher Hitchens and Stephen Fry against the motion. Fun fact: Stephen Fry worked alongside Hugh Laurie (aka Dr. Gregory House) in the hilarious sketch comedy A Bit of Fry and Laurie.

If you have an hour to spare, the debate is incredibly thought-provoking. Unfortunately, the videos cut off at awkward places – like, right in the middle of a speaker talking – so it’s best to watch them in continuity.
