Helping Haiti

For those of you still looking for ways to help with the aid effort, there's a local event expected to provide assistance to thousands of Haitians in need. Capital Region Hope for Haiti is a Gala fundraising event to benefit the survivors of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. It is sponsored by The Century House, Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Latham, and dozens of private citizens and businesses giving generously of their time and effort.

100% of ALL proceeds from this event will be sent directly to registered 501(c)(3) aid organizations to include the American Red Cross and To Love A Child, and earmarked for efforts in Haiti. The venue, food, entertainment, auction items, and labor have all been donated, so this is a "no overhead" event!

The Gala will be held on Saturday, February 6th, 2010, from 6-10 P.M. at the Century House in Latham. It will include four hours of food, music, dancing, and shows, and include both a silent auction and an exciting live auction for items valued $1000.00 or more, hosted by local news celebrities from Channels 9, 10 13, and 23.

Dress for the event will be Casual Elegant/Cocktail Attire.
